Acquired permission today to dig some farm fields that date back to the 1600's. found a 1900 Canadian LC, 2 Indians, a mystery coin and some wheats.. it's amazing how many fork n spoon fragments there are in the fields. It's like people would eat, break them in pieces and toss them! [emoji38]
Thanks everyone! Here's some pics of the mystery coin next to a penny, I'm starting to think it may be a button but there is no evidence of a shank at all.. it's pretty slick I can't see any detail. It's a little thinner than a penny as well
lookin at all them broken untensils..would say you got a good spot. Mystery coin might just be a flat button? doesn't look as thick as the penny? nice hunt..congrats on the permission.
