I don't know the proper place to post this and get traffic and help, so feel free to tell me to move it to another section. But I've been watching videos and going through all of yall's post about colonial houses and colonial root cellars. Well I have not yet to find any kind of indication of rock walls like yall find where a cellar is. I have just the rocks on top but just one or two and in no general pattern, also not very big, just if I see a rocky patch then I know it's an area of activity. The area was big for 2 or three years before fear of indians and just people leaving. Alot of salt making and processing was around. Mainly every site is on a hill, and the rocks are very very close to the side of the hill in many places. Untitled.png I attached a rough drawing of the site I did on paint, with the two red x's being places where I have found the biggest concentration of relics and rocks, with not much in between. The little inlet is about half a football field in length and can see the other hill side when its winter. The length of the slopes on the hill i'd say is about 25-35 ft, probally alittle more. the blue thing in the middle is a hole that holds water, not sure if it's a spring or the history of how long its been there. I was wondering if there would be some kind of lay outs to these kind of places, like what would the houses be like without rock foundations, If there were some kind of ramparts or if they did alot on the sides of hills back then.

I have found a floor in a spot about 1' 6'' so far with very designed looking stones, placed together with stones under, but normally one stone under the other not a wall of them. Could anyone tell me about them. I'm getting serious on the site marking and making lines and gridding off, so any help on any of this info would be more then greatly appreciated.

The last picture to me looks like the corner of a building & the stones are wall foundations.
