Had a great couple of hunts on the week-end and finally managed to find time to write a post. Found not one but two bucket lister items, both in a very good shape.

A colonial wax seal has eluded me for a few years. Super happy with this one and glad that the fragile glass or crystal part was undamaged.

Strangely, found a piece from an other seal the next day on a hunt in a completely different area.

Got an other bucket lister on Sunday's hunt. I have made a post about the coin two days ago, after the hunt.

An other interesting item was what I believe to be US Patriotic saddle shield from Civil War period. Unfortunately couldn't find much online.

I'm having a hard time getting my thoughts around this....Super great finds there!!! Can only dream of such old finds in the States.

Simply amazing! I think we all want to move to Canada. You’ve obviously done some great research to uncover some spots with such a large number of top shelf finds. The wax seal is my favorite, but any of those would make my day. So much fun. Congrats!!!!

Excellent finds. :headbang:
Whoever lost that wax seal would have been running in circles like we do nowadays when we misplace our cell phones! :laughing7:

Fantastic hunt...:notworthy:

Aureus, wow, want a great hunt. Most all of your finds are bucket listers for the rest of us. My favorite part of TNet is “Today’s Finds” exactly for what you have shown us today. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

Great stuff there. Congrats on the bucket listers. You have a great variety of early tokens in Canada. The pewter US infantry button is in amazing shape. The couple that I have found have been pretty rough.

Thanks Steve in PA. It's my first US pewter and all American buttons I have found in the past were made of copper. Judging by the condition of the British pewters I sometimes find, this one is in a pretty good shape.

Wow awesome finds! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: The War of 1812... the time the US tried to invade Canada. Do you live near one of the sites where we tried to invade Canada?

Thanks Whyme. I live in Montreal and some battles of that War were fought around it. The buttons and relics I find were probably lost during troops movement of the War or settlers from US that came after it.

Congrats on the Fob Seal & yes the glass is normally bust. The 2nd example had a double sided (normally different images) rotating version.

Outstanding hunts, the colonial wax seal is unbelievable, all the coppers are really nice, especially the one penny, cool cufflink & dandy & really l7ke the saddle shield, congrats on all the amazing saves

Thanks Inspector
