Colorado river sluicing

Going on vacation to AZ, to bullhead city. Was wondering if anyone knows/seen/ gold in the river? I know the hills around there have some but I'm not going to have time to get that far out of town. Think there is much in the river? From just under Davis dam down to the avi casino?
Worth my time? Bring my sluice?
