Hi all you Coloradans, let's all get together at Steele St Open Space, Steele St just north of 78th, on Friday afternoon I'll be there from about 3pmish or so until it gets dark. You can look for my little red Honda. The weather looks to be great and many other places are flooded out right now...but not this spot! Bring whatever gear you have (non motorized, sorry). Walk the rec path downstream under the bridge to the big cobble bar to find me running a bazooka and grabbing all the gold ;-)

Saturday might be an option too unless I have to help a friend out teaching some out of towners how to pan...but head up here when you get off work Friday and let's start the weekend right!

FML, couldnt make it friday or saturday. Finally made it there sunday. Saw a few remnants of sluicers, one wing dam at the southern most point. Kevin, I think I had mine set up in the exact same spot lol. (Hey those rocks look big enough to hold the BGT.
I sluiced for about 6 hours with two cleanouts. (I'll post the gold when I can clean out the cons)

I met a new sluicer Andy, whos wife and kiddo had just gotten him a fathers day sluice. (How nice!)
Very nice people, I gave him some pointers and the general procedure (Classify 4 buckets / clean out) etc.
He was on the gold and had some shine in his sluice, good job!
Sorry I missed you guys!

I've been very hard on it, hanging my grizzly picker on it, maneuvering it by it and mostly carrying it long distances. I think I yanked it at a bad angle and it popped off. Well that tears it (lol pun). Now I'm getting something with wheels to move it to and fro with. Also going to pm bgt and find out what kind of strap todd was carrying that miner down to the crick with. (guitar strap?) (Nylon with rubbered hooks?)

The BGT is a monster, I've fired untold amounts of hardpan down it. beat the hell out of it in my trunk etc. It still looks like it did on day one. (minus the strap though, I'll fix it. But with a black one this time. Cause you all know I like it all Matchy). Hey where's tweetabear?
