Completely incased in asphalt

Hit an old Drive-Inn movie theater tonight. My brother (Waseeker) got a 46 and 47 rosie My son (Corinth1812) got a 64 rosie and I got a 43 Merc, It was totally incased in asphalt. I had to chip the asphalt away to see what i Had. Also got 6 wheats and 2 of them were in asphalt too. thanks for looking. Disregard the first 2 pics, they were from an earlier hunt I added them by mistake.

Hey Ken,
One of my dimes I got out there was completely covered in tar also. I soaked mine in fingernail polish remover and it came right off. Might give that a try. Looks like you guys found alot of goodies out there. Was the grass pretty tall?
 

i guess you can say they are fossils. :laughing7: I second on the wd 40. I found a couple mercs one time at the back of an old store where the old tar from the roof had fallen down and covered them. Wd 40 worked good just took a while.
 

Great finds, looks like nothing, not even assfault will stop you from getting your treasure!!! :icon_pirat:
