for the mechanically inclined convert an electric Gast useing pillow blocks or take the winding's off and cut the side of the motor casing for the belt.

Thank you winners58! That greatly broadens my search. I didnt know about the speedys, wards or pumas. How do you like your speedy? Can you still easily get parts to rebuild them?
probably cant get parts for the speedy maybe new old stock but you can get diaphragm material if that needs replaced
find one that works good not all roached out, I puled mine apart cleaned it with rubbing alcohol,
I used USP mineral oil on the springs and valves, and went to the fabric store for new felt filters.
puts out more air than the thomas, I used a pressure gauge to set it at 40psi it would put out 55psi easily.
Well i couldnt resist i bought a speedy! I guess next question i have is what size pulley do i need to make it 1800 rpms? I have a honda clone 6.5 with a keene p180 and the keene pulley behind the pump.
the speedy only needs 1500rpm I just used the one it came with, and haven't had any problems
a motor can be tuned to 3600rpm but come from the factory much lower, mine runs about 3000rpm
this calculator will also give the size belt to get Pulley Calculator. RPM, Belt Length, Speed, Animated Diagrams
(edit) one thing I find out is after you take off the head the diaphragm & plate unscrew to get them off.
