Found what I believe to be a saddle shield on November 3 but waited to post until I'd cleaned it up with electrolysis. I found it right were Union soldiers did a bayonet charge into a line of Confederate calvary in order to escape after being surrounded. It's made of iron instead of brass. No markings that I can see. I don't have a lot of experience with these, so if anyone more knowledgable has any information, please chime in. Thanks!
