The construction of street area yields a Barber Half. Lots of trash also a 1897 Indianhead along with three wheats.
Also a spout or valve, pin, cufflink, lots of lead. Even the nails sounded like good hits.

Knew it was a Barber when I popped the plug out and saw UNUM on the scroll.

Heres some pics.

Also cleaned the Large Cent up from Traces of past post. 1851 Braided with good detail.

My luck ran out.. they rocked the area today :( However I still have another const. site, and this one is only half done.

Thats the second one I have dug in 20 years so they have not come to easy for me. The other was on a farm 6 inches down.

Good luck on findin one !

Congratulations Jazdo on the Barber half and Indian cent.
Work the areas between the curb and the sidewalks and if
You start getting lots of old silver coins I'll be heading your way.

Congratulations on the great find!

I have yet to find a half or silver dollar. I don't know that I would not think it was a nail falsing as they seem to jump to the top row quite a bit on my E-trac.

I thought i had a large cent tonight, however it turned out to be a really large cent! A 1909S VBD that measures 3" across. I just sat there and laughed to myself for a few minutes. Oh well maybe next time.

Great finds and thanks for posting, I need to get with you about getting together sometime so you can teach me the ropes.

Dave

Looks like there is some nice detail on that Barber Half! I might add that by the look of all the iron you had to dig, it was a well deserved find! :icon_pirat:
