Looks like it was a drill. The point type that it was before it was manufactured into one, iduno. I am sure someone does though. Cool find regardless of the missing point.

Hey Olekyground! I have a point that I found here in Central Ky that is just like the one you have posted in the pic. It is broken as well. I have been wondering what point type it could possibly too. Hopefully someone on here can help out with the ID. I'll try to dig out the one I have and post pic of it.

Looks like some kind of conglomerate to me, that stuff had to be hard to work. I agree that base is textbook Synders.

I believe that material is called Boyle Chert. I white things are actually fossils. In my area we call it "chickencrap flint".
