✅ SOLVED Copper Nugget, Part Gold?

Now that I figured out the gold nugget that found in the same area I got around to this other nugget. And guess what, it seems to be a alloy of copper and gold, and I can see a couple of spits that look to be shot with gold. I see areas of gold and copper. Do any of you see what I see? It weighs close to a couple pounds, maybe more, and I clearly see gold.

I wonder what it would look like with the copper verdigris patina and the manganese coatings off. I guess I'll end up using Winslow's vinegar and table salt solvent solution to loosen up the patina and coatings.

Crystals of what? Pretty much unlikely you will dissolve gold.

Gold can dissolve in many various things, including water - there's gold in your body. If you weighed about 70 kilograms I could yank about half a milligram of gold from your blood.

You know, as I look around, I don't see many specimens of alloyed gold/copper like that. At all.

That could be worth much more than $20K at a proper auction.

I'd be wet and brown in my pants about now were I in your position.

As an aside, that is what I'd call Banner material.

Take a a closer look, a gold nugget with gold crystals, from on a gold ledge by at least 2 separate events. This is a extremely rare specimen, the Heart Nugget. The Australia Tonge Nugget is 209 grams and going for $22.500.00. My nugget is larger and has more character.
