Covered over six miles of trails yesterday looking for picnic spots along a local brook, nothing to show for it for four hours (except maybe a little improved cardio). On my way back to the car noticed a line of old oaks atop a ridge, so figured why not. Bingo!

The first two coppers are King George’s, one has a good date 1739, the other I can’t tell. The third is toast, can’t make out any details. I was hoping there might be a piece of silver nearby and sure enough I found a 1 reale after about another half hour. The kicker was the gold ring, unexpected and almost passed it up. Inscription reads “Paris February 1st 1919”

Three of my favorite metals! Grab a piece of platinum and palladium while you're at it to round out my top 58-)

All excellent finds in their own right/metal!

That's the way it goes sometimes the return is the saver of the day. Great ending to the day and if the oak tree site is big enough maybe a return hunt in he future.
Congrats on all the finds, any one of them would put a smile on the mug.

Wow you had an incredible day and covered all the bases: exercise, treasure hunting, coppers, spanish silver, gold ring!!! congrats on it!

Now that's a killer hunt !! Congrats !! Love all of it.

cheffer, those are incredible finds. The ring is really cool.

Which machine were you using? If you were using the Deus, what type of signal were you getting which almost made you pass it up?

Drooling. What a day! The legwork paid off in the end, I guess. Wonder if that ring came home with a WWI soldier?

Nothing to show for 4 hours and then that- amazing- Congrats!

Awesome hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

Three coppers, a one real, and a beautiful gold signet ring makes up for all the shotgun shells and other junk you must have dug. Congrats on a great hunt

Thanks! I was using the Deus, on the Ultimate program, one of my favorites. The signal was decent, ID'd at 78 fairly consistently but I was getting pooped after being out all day, you know how that is. Plus I had dug so much junk in that range. But, something told me to go after it!

Thanks again,
Steve

Awesome hunt. I have yet to find Spanish silver. That ring is great, especially with a date on it. Congrats!

Awesome hunt
