I am pretty sure this is copper but what the neck could it have been used for with all the holes? I have found other things at this site like shell caps dating back to late 1800's. No markings on it but this one particular beaded weld spot. Anyone have a clue? 20131125_210758-1-1.jpg 20131125_204306-1.jpg

Some cupboards on the doors had pierced copper or tin designs pretty sure the cabinet was referred to as a pie safe. Could be from that. Google pie safe and you will see what I'm talking about.
