That is a nice old Canadian piece and before the official production of Canada minted regular coinage.
 

The ones I saw on Ebay were pretty expensive $75 to $250, they were in far better condition, mind you! I like it!
 

Those Half Penny and One Penny Montreal coins are a nice find. Congrats.
 

Good to see things are starting to pop out of the ground up in Michigan - that's a great find!
