Coronet LC today - it's been a long winter!

Haven't hunted since Jan 1st but it sure was good to get back out in the fields. Started out with a very large horse shoe 7" X 6".
Then found some buckles, a small lock, and 1945 'P' silver nickel.
And then found a Coronet Large Copper. It's not done soaking yet but does have a date.
I guess this ain't a bad start to this season! Smokin' - somebody stop me! ;D

Ocean 7, I'd quit horsin' around ;D and get back out there. Great finds. Looks like you're kicckin' the New Year off to a good start even if it is 3 mo. late. BTW and FYI the shoe is probably for a jackass judging by the size, either that or a Clydsdale. WAY too big for an avg. horse. HH

Re: Coronet LC today - it's been a long winter!

thanks guys!

FoxHound - well it has a date but I can't read it yet...

stoney56 - yeah I think that shoe is from a Clydsdale - twice the size of regular shoe.

rtde3 - good luck for sure!

I had a dream last week that I dug a cache. It was small gold bars and a foot and half long cloth bag filled with silver coins. That got me motivated! :D

Great going O7! Can't wait to see that LC come out! But that shoe is average size, not large. Got piles of 'em around here that size, in town.

Hi Ocean, are you soaking in olive oil? I dug up a coronet cents last fall (my only large copper) I can just make out the key date of 1823 and it seems to have good detail to it but it's soooooo blackened and looks just like yours does. Is olive oil my best bet?
