Just received today the CORS Fire 15 X15" Coil.
I hooked it up to my Garrett ACE 400 and went out in the front yard
just to get a feel of the swing and swing weight.I have modified
my Ace to extend the forearm longer as to bring much of the weight
back to a more comfortable position. This thing is big.
The coil shown next to it is my 5 X8" coin shooting coil.A great little
coil for trashy areas. But I needed something big for a few sites I have permission to
hunt.I put a quarter on the ground outside and just raw above ground it picked it up
at approx. 14-15 inches.Close enough for my needs.I'll try to let you guys know
how it does in the field. To be continued..:gold-watch:

Congrats on your new set up. I have to use a sling if I ever want to swing my large coil for more than an hour. Good Luck & Happy Hunting

Ok.I just got back from a hunt at an old school yard that has been swept over hundreds of times by detectors.
My new Cors Fire coil was iffy.Besides swinging this brute for an hour and having sore right arm fatigue,it's
still out for review.Thinking it was the same signals as my little 5X8" coil,I passed a lot of targets.
I stopped about 30 minutes through the hunt to make sure.
I was wrong.Big time. The readings are much lower and have a greater number swing.
In other words,a quarter on my 5X8 is 86-88.On this coil a quarter is 84-91.
Pin pointing will take time to get right.I need to work on it.I wasn't too great at it today.
I'm going to get strong in my right arm if I keep this up.A sling is on my to get list.
Ok.1 hour hunt review.I spent a lot of time swinging and very little digging.
I will get better with it.I can see great things when using it for relics.Ok. Later guys.

Even though my machine has pin point capabilities I still use the old fashion X pattern to pin point the target and simply use the pin point option to get an estimated depth.

Swinging non-stop will tire lots of arms regardless of weight. Big coil swing less - dig more = detect longer. Pinpointing should become easier in no time. Good luck on the next hunt.
