Could someone help identify the symbols on this rock?

Hi Everyone,

I found this rock last Friday and have been trying to identify some of the lesser visible symbols.

The ones I can easily see are marked in yellow on the second picture. I can see other shapes in the rock but these old eyes cannot make out the detail.

I thought that at first too. I went back to this spot yesterday. The 1721 is prominent in that rock. Those other shapes are in the Spanish symbol books.

Its not like I want to go dig into a sealed Spanish mine. I mean, 300+ year old timbers, buildup of gases, potential collapses, the most stable part is probably rocks in the opening. The only thing safer would be to wrap myself in rattlesnakes as a fashion statement while digging. LOL.

I thought the 1721 and the M were interesting. The rest of it seemed too obscure in the photo to judge. Was this found in the San Luis Valley vicinity?

Close. Same mountain range but on the other side. I have to get over to treasure mountain before it snows.

I can scan the treasure book symbols and put an arrow to them in the photo. I believe it is either the sealed mine itself or a direction indicator.

Of course, there is also the possibility that I crossed the line to insanity and just seeing things too. LOL. There are worse delusions.

Patrick My experience with numbers such as yours I had a set of 4 numbers 1814 it had a slight distance between the numbers ( always use the old testament ) 14th book = Ezra ( because of the two numbers 18 being to together ) chapter 2 - verse 1 and four. Don't remember for sure about the verses but it called for 445 which indicater445 grams per troy oz = 1 lb and the other verse was 112 = number of bars. Yours seem to have been done using the same method.

Well, it's never like being there. More pictures, higer-res, different angles, different camera settings...

I see a date (distance? chapter?) and what looks like a fleur de lis. Shocking. I must have been preconditioned by mention of the general locality.
