Hard enough to find LC's in Michigan, but I think I just found a counterfeit unless someone can tell me different. I was hunting a field site that I didn't find much in a few years ago. After a few passes, I popped an 1865 IHP, so I was happy to just get a coin from the site. Started getting a few buttons and then get a signal that was low and solid...I was thinking fatty or a nickle. I was surprised to see the big coin in the dirt and realized it was an LC made out of pewter. The date is 18_8, third digit is messed up. Anyone have any info on this coin? Thanks!

Interesting. Could it be part of a pendant or a decorative piece? :icon_scratch:
