Still traveling Europe. Went out today to a dirt road across the lake from an old town and managed few keepers.

2 hammered coins. 1671 Solidus and silver 1654 Livonia Solidus.

Also a German 1874 Pfennig and silver 1823 1/2 Groschen.

Also pulled this Square (coin??) it has what appears a Knight with sword and shield and letter "G", obverse has some floral/flame pattern with letters "RVI", any help with id would be appreciated, it's approx 19mm at its widest and 2mm thick:

The square coin might be medieval from city of Antwerp.

Those are some awesome old coins. To think that here in the midwest I feel good about finding a coin from the 1800's.

Agreed with David its an Antwerp Coin Weight (Square one). Should be easy to date it with the initials RVI.

Thanks Crusader and David for your ID help.

Oh, you wouldn't listen to your old friend Steve that it was a coin weight?! Lol

Great finds again buddy. Like I told you, I really like that weight and a square one is on my list. Keep at it and you'll find more hammered silver!
