I picked these buttons up at a flea market today and i was wondering if anyone might recognize what they are and what kind of value if any.....thank you in advance

the first button has a pic of a handshake and says "University of the South" around the outside with some Latin or something around the inside...the back mark says "Scoville Mfg Co Waterbury"

second button is smaller...maybe cuff size and has what looks like the Confederate flag with a square in the center....back mark looks like "KENN INC LONDON"

Great find on the handshake button! Here's some info, and one recently sold for $600! (link below)

Some more info on that one:

This is the scarce coat size uniform button for the cadets of the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee. This is one of only three accepted style of uniform buttons worn by Tennessee troops during the Civil War. There is the Tennessee seal the Nashville Military College button and this pattern of button. This is the pattern listed as SU393b in Albert’s button book and as TNS260a1 in Tice’s button book, both of which we sell. The center of the button has the two hands grasped in a handshake with a lined background. It has “ECCE” at the top and “QUAM BONUM” at the bottom. This is all surrounded by the wonderful “UNIVERSITY OF THE SOUTH” lettering.
