I had a fun hunt yesterday in one of the local harbors. I worked a rocky area in front of a sea wall and had no problem finding signals right away. I stated finding some older clad then I got my first silver which is the clip on ear ring, it looks pretty old to me. Then after some more clad and fishing weights I got a large copper coin! It was completely toasted but I was excited because I've only come across a couple in the three years I've been detecting. I was sure it had to be a large cent! I have one other coin that I found this winter that I think might be a large cent but I have my doubts about it. After inspection I can see the wreathe on the back of the coin, making me 99% sure about this one! I also found a Roosevelt dime and a couple wheaties after that.
