My Ace 250 does not work well in the wet sand at the oceanfront...however, it did work wonderfully in the lake (Lake Greeson, Murfreesboro, Arkansas). Haven't tried it around any lakes by me yet.

Primarily my Fisher cz-70 and Compass Relic & Coin, plus many others
My Ace 250 didn't work well on ANY high mineralized soil, including high salt or high iron beaches.

I traded it to my daughter for her Bounty Hunter which was a slight bit better in many ways, especially the above. She seldom uses it except for hunting in sawdust or wood chips at local schools. The Ace was easier to use than the analog BH but it only worked well in gentle soil. It was not designed for use on beaches.

Being a Preset groundbalance you need to set the sensivtivity down
I have use it on wet sand and dig many targets. I have had it set on one or two bars on the meter.

Gecko...I'll try that and see how it works...Thanks! On the dry sand, I usually set mine at 3 or 4 bars...
