🥇 BANNER CRAZY 73 OLD SILVER COIN SPILL

I just got in the door and so excited to post this that i didn't even rinse and check the dates of the coin spill. Ive been wanting a US silver for along time and now i have some. I see standing liberties and barbers in the mix.i will post more pictures and dates later when I'm done cataloging all of them. They are mostly all quarters with some dimes and five cent pieces mixed in. I thought i wouldn't top my 26 silver Newfoundland coin find a awhile back but i did. They all were in a small area on a old driveway and the ground was packed hard. Took me two hours to dig them all out. At a quick glance they look to all be from late 1800's to late 1920's. You-all have SERIOUS silver--at least your older coins were. I dug an 1871-H Vickie dime (.925) and a 1911 George (the V?) dime which was also Sterling, I think.
So that is a bunch of silver, all righty.

Yup they are all silver and all Canadian ones are sterling silver. After 1920 they went to 80% silver.

I didn't realize that all the coins added up to $13.00 even. I wonder what that would be worth in todays Canada or Us (because they are so far apart right now) dollars back in 1930?

39 x $0.25 = $9.75
31 x $0.25 = $3.10
3 x $0.05 = $0.15

TOTAL = $13.00

I thought I'd bring up this thread to say goodbye to the spot I found two big great silver spills. Was talking to the owner and found out the rest of the area is getting fill and a big garage going up. I already checked many times for more coins so I'm sure it's cleaned but it's always sad to see the last of a old property disappear. I am glad they waited so long to do it after filling and building the new main house though because the coins would have never been found!

It's probably lame of me to bring up a old thread of mine but 90 hour work weeks and winter starting to hit I wanted to pop up my two favourite silver hauls since I started detecting. I'm putting a link to the other thread below. Maybe some newer member never got to see it so I thought id share. It's good to relive the memories on these crappy work days and crappy time of year. Thanks for anyone checking it out. Hope it's not a unwritten rule to bring old stuff back up again. Thanks for looking! [emoji106]
