My friend and I went to a creek by our houses that has a railroad right next to it. Our paper printed a story about how a certain area (where I live) was once a huge railroad town. At one time it was the biggest town in the state that relied completely on the railroad that is still used today. For some reason it disappeared and now they just call it a ghost town. So it was a perfect place I thought to md. I got signals every foot, I only dug the shallow coin signals. We ended up with three quarters (all in the 80's) and three pennys ('71, '72, '79, 85) and a game token. WE were out for an hour or two: and are nickels silver before also? Not picture worthy

I hope you can dig some of the deeper signals,
just to see what's down there.
Keep it coming , good luck!

War nickels are the only silvers, '42 to '45.

Smiles!

The older stuff can be masked by the shallower targets, so maybe if you keep going back over that place you'll start finding the silver, wheaties, etc., once you get the louder signals out of the ground.
