I am new to this community and I'm new to this kind of hobby. A friend of mine recently found a creepy little 8 inch statue of what looks like an Indian man sitting on the ground with a basket on his lap. He's wearing an elaborate headdress and something around his neck. He almost looks like a deity of some kind. Clearly, incense has been burning in this pot that he has on his lap as well as in the holes in the headdress. This seems to have been buried for quite a long time. It also does not seem to be from around here, Southwest New Mexico. This was found under the base of a Sandune here in the desert. It seems quite out of place. Anyway, we are pretty clueless as to what the heck this thing is. Any comments or inside or opinions from all of you would be greatly appreciated. I'm not very computer savvy but I am going to try to post a couple of photographs of this little guy onto this note. I hope I am successful. Thanks in advance if anybody can help us with this.
