Did some CRH'ing with family last night.
Finished a box of halves. Not as good as my last one, http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,372463.0.html
But I did get (4) 40%ers, all 68-D.

1 box of nickels: no war nics, but did get a 1916 Buffalo (my brother actually "found" it, LOL)

1st box of pennies:
Wheaties: (8 total) 1939, 1941-D, 1941, 1949, 1950-S, 1952(D)X2, 1958
Canadians: (8) 1961, 1963, 1966, 1971, 1981, 1985(X2), 2001
A little over 22% Copper

2nd box of pennies:
Wheaties: (9 total) 1940-D, 1942(X2), 1944, 1944-D, 1951-D, 1952-D(X2), 1953
Canadian: (3) 1964, 1982, 1988
26% Copper

Congratulations, Legend. Those are fairly good numbers. The important thing is that you enjoyed doing it with the family. Nothing better. HH

I agree, part of what makes it fun is having my two boys help!

Depends on how old the kids are. They have to start early.

I don't have any kids but it would be cool to put together a type set with your kid (i.e. one merc, one buffalo, one indian head, an early wheat, standing liberty quarter, etc) just from CRH and have them put into 2x2's and into a binder for your kid's show and tell sessions at show. I remember how one kid had such a binder in 4th grade and all the kids wanted to look at them. The kid became instantly popular. I wanted a buffalo nickel too and from that point on, I became a coin collector all the way till now.
