Though this world may at times appear harsh and unfriendly,

One must face the existence of life. Or perish....

No matter what is presented.

ALWAYS be ready for ANYTHING!

Isn't that what "Life" is all about?

How we all survive another day is our "Saving Grace!"

My Best Wishes,

Scott

See where I'm going?

My Professor lent me a "Magellan" GPS today.

He understands my need of ARC/GIS.

I have unlimited use!

New clues this summer?

Time for a quick breather, got my garagantuan burn piles taken care of that have been worrying me, didn't think I'd get them done before the heat comes or Knee surgery! Mission accomplished. Garden's ready and the green house up and operational, waiting on the seed mats to jump start all the seedlings. The lake is full for the first time in years, might be the draught is gone for awhile. Time to pull out the boat and get ready. It may be Spring now but that Summer Breeze is coming----------

Ok, just got home from MRI and was about to head off to work when orthopedic office called me. Seems I have a fracture and am supposed to stay off completely. I now must use crutches. So looks like I'm back to watching tv full time!

Not particularly, but I like the names! :headbang:

The next clue will involve using a compass to begin the next step of the Journey from our starting point.

Clues "a" and "b" are the starting point.

After class today, I stopped into the Professor's office to discuss the tube.
He knows of my Treasure Tube, but doesn't know where I have selected.
I use a different location when I speak with him and learn how to apply it to the real location. 8-)

By the way, I've added both a 1998 and 2000 US Lincoln cent "WAM" error to the tube!

Man! It's gettin' so good, I wish I were searchin' for it!

Best Wishes, Y'all!

Scott

Now that is a "lucky break", congrats lol! I doubt you'll need surgery and the recovery should be much much nicer. Seems like once they start cutting on ya it never ends.

When I was younger, I had to have arthroscopic surgery for an anterior lateral release of my left patella.

http://orthopedics.about.com/od/kneecappatelladisorders/g/lateralrelease.htm

Fortunately, at the time, I had Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
I chose the orthopedic surgeon for the University of Kansas athletes, Dr. Ken Wertzberger.
Dr. Kenneth L. Wertzberger, MD - Lawrence, KS - Orthopedic Surgery | Healthgrades.com

The military probably should have covered the procedure at a VA, but.....

My advice: Don't let just anyone cut on you!
Politics and Obummercare? Nah......Not me...(Wink, wink)

Speaking of military stuff,

I came across some insignia patches for the USMC that I got somewhere at a sale long ago....

Anyway,

If anyone knows of anyone who can use any of these, Please PM me and I'll send to you what you need.
All you pay is postage!

My Best,

Scott

Yeah, I am really nervous of surgery, I only spoke to a assistant from the orthopedic office who called me not long after I left the MRI appointment. I was surprised to hear I fractured it as I had already had X-rays at my first orthopedic appointment.

I forgot to ask if they had seen any tears while I was on the phone with her. They called a little while ago and moved my appointment up to Tuesday so that helps.

"Oh no you DIDN'T!"

Yes, I DID!

I just found room in the tube for a roll of Bicentennial Quarters!

View attachment 1289106

How 'bout that!

(Future clues regarding a compass will relate to magnetic north unless otherwise specified. I like magnetic North because I can always make a compass in the field. Can you? What is the deviation between true north and magnetic north? How 'bout the North star? What if you are a-sea? Perhaps the plains, where all you can see is a tornado coming at you? Maybe the mountains. One mountain looks like another and you have to climb it to know if it was the right mountain. Or not.... How do you know which way that you are going?)

Best Wishes Always,

Scott

The next location to be referenced in our search is over 4000 miles away from our starting point.....

I went to a sporting goods store and ran into a firefighter friend of mine. Told him we are going fishing . He told me his secret spot....... We are sitting 100 yards in front of City hall at a pond. Police department HQ to our SE , fire department due east 150 yards...... So far we have caught 12 largemouth bass !!!!!! Some homeless guy came by said. " you allowed to be there " I said" I don't see any signs says I can't, besides I think we 're pretty safe right here !" Haha
