I am a humble man.
I am your Friend.
I have seen and lived through many things others shouldn't.

I've saved lives and...well, let's just say that I did what I had to do to live.

I've experienced the pleasures and the hurt of others ten-fold.
I cannot tell the stories....

Holding a Friend in my arms as they died. And saving a Friend who wanted to die.
And a Friend who saved me when I wanted to die.

What is life?
For me, it is an opportunity to help another.

We all have only one shot at life.

Whether you are hungry, homeless or have other issues, I'm pretty sure that I've been there.
Please PM me if you have questions or are at the end of your options.

I may have an answer!

If it seems that no one cares,

I CARE!

No matter how extreme your situation is, I can relate.

PM me in confidence.
We will work out a solution!

Your Friend,

Scott

Now, let's hit them boiled peanuts!
Nom, nom, nom!
Oh, damn! They are HOT! :headbang:

Yeah, I got this.....Perhaps a bit more cumin?
And another hour of cooking?
You know that I'll get it right....
I have a recipe, dig?

And soon, I''ll make some jerky for future camping trips.
My marinade soak will melt in your mouth!
How sad that you can't come camping with me.....

And, now,

Summer draws closer to an end. The cicadas sing loudly, the daylight grows shorter.

Journeys and dreams you once had now slip from your grasp.

Soon, cold, snow and darkness will be your daily companion.
You know that it is coming...

I know that it is coming.

How shall we spend the days left of summer?

How shall we prepare for the days that approach?

Me? I'll dance in the snow during a full moonlight, camping in the mountains!
My life is my own to enjoy as I wish.

https://youtu.be/hMc8naeeSS8?t=99

I have no worries. I have no cares. I only have the moment to consider.

How much simpler can it be?

And, will you come along with me?

Scott

Now it is time to do battle with dreams.

I must sleep tonight to be able to work tomorrow.

My certain defense is a full and satisfying meal of dinner and a calm repose.
A few hours of playing my guitar proves my resolve.

The demons of my sleep tonight have no chance!
I am fully armed and waiting....
Bring it....

See ya on the other side. Also known as, "Tomorrow."

A song that I always end up singing to.
(And I couldn't carry a tune in a paper bag....I play guitar)

One can always tell of the passion felt when a song is sung.....
Didn't Janis do this song?
If not, she should have!

(SWEET Tiger maple Gibson!)

Another version....

DANG! Now I want to get out my guitar, tune her up and play some riffs!
Thanks, Bill! :notworthy:
No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

And, I listen to this once again before I sleep.

Thanks, Bill.

You have given me defense in my dreams!

Yeah, I'm "full screen."

Scott,

Here's another version by Rod Stewart & Carlos Santana....apparently Rod Stewart's version of I'd rather go blind was Etta's favorite cover.

Had a pretty busy day at work today.

Helped a co-worker replace chains on a Crown Mast/reach forklift and did PM on some pallet jacks.

rmd-6000-sit-down-double-reach-model.jpg

(Helpful image of a Crown Mast lift)

When the second shift folks came in, several brought their pallet jacks to the maintenance shop needing load wheels or caster wheels replaced.
They get top priority for production.
When I finished each one, (usually within 15 minutes) I'd give them a thumbs up and say, "You gonna ride smooth tonight Friend. Go make some money!"
In the short time that I've been here, word has gotten out to come see Scotty! He'll do you right and quickly!

Finally, it was time to clock out and come home.
I'm driving home behind a jerk that is going 10 miles an hour below the speed limit.
Finally, I got tired of being behind him and quickly changed lanes to go around him.
I looked in my side mirror as I usually do, but as I was halfway into the other lane, I saw headlights of someone in that lane just behind me.
So I goose the gas, look again, and RUT ROW!
It wasn't just someone.
It was a cop!

Yep. He lit me up.

I pulled into a gas station and had my license ready to hand to him when he walked up.

Of course, I was all about, "Yes Sir. No Sir. I'm sorry."

He ran my license and eventually came back and gave me a warning.

WHEW!

I can STILL say that I haven't had an accident or ticket in 25 years.

Got home, drew 5 Chinese Fortunes from a hat, marked my Powerball play ticket and will purchase my chances for some $700 million for tomorrow's drawing before work.

Got as good of a chance as anyone else, I guess......

Hope all are well.

Best Wishes as always, my Friends,

Scott

I am used to doing repairs as best that my skills provide. And I have awesome skills....

However, it is strictly forbidden to "improvise."

I like that rule because I can request actual certified parts to do repairs thus eliminating liability.

I am all about safety and would NEVER place anyone in danger. :headbang:

I have personally "Locked out/Tagged out" a few jacks and lifts myself, until parts came to make repairs.

Yeah, the Boss sees my dedication....

There's a kid that I work with, I say kid because he's only 19.

Anyway, he's still in High School and he's having a rough go at life.

I've loaned him $20 last week and he paid me back, but he asked me again tonight for another loan.
Seems he has trouble with his money....

I declined but told him that I'd bring him a lunch tomorrow.
I asked if he liked bologna sandwiches....
He reminds me of me when I was just a kid.
I shared my lunch with him tonight.

He's honest, likable and has just had a hard time in his young life.
He needs to find someone to take under their wing....
I'm always talking with him and giving advice....

Sounds like ole Scotty has a calling, don't it?

I'll take my camera in to work and get some pictures of where I work and whom I work with.

Y'all know me.
I'm always there for a Friend! :hello:

Y'all be good to one 'nother, hear?

Scott

DAMN!

Just got blasted by someone who I had to ban from one of the Facebook groups that I moderate.

Cussed out with language that would cause a Sailor to blush....
A FEMALE!

Do I really need this crap?

No. No I don't.
But I gave my word.

Therefore, I will blow it off and continue!
I replied thus:
"Thank you for your message. I shall deposit it where it belongs. In the toilet. Be Well."

Too harsh?

Best,

Scott
