For my Friend Pat and all of us who may feel this way sometimes...

My advice, for what its worth,
2 cents.png
That advice is:

Is that YOU are in control of your life-no one else.
If you wish to feel and respond as downtrodden,
such is your choice.
If you choose to see every encounter as a chance to
add to the benefit of another,
that, too, is your choice.

I've found, personally, that the
former leads to ill health; mentally and physically.
The latter I've found enriches ones soul, and creates a purpose to look forward to tomorrow.

Of course, tomorrow may present items of concern or worry, but,
once overcome, provides an excuse to lavish oneself with a reward; say a candy bar?
(anything with chocolate!)

This is the game that we all play.

It's name?
LIFE.

Best Wishes,

Scott

Well, I looked it up... it was some TV documentary that aired that gave me the original no residuals story- T.V. go figure, can't believe 'em either way... sheesh.

Except for the reality shows, because they are unscripted and original content.

just on a side note....... :laughing7:

Pat,

This song always will be dear to me because back in the 60's, I used to wander the alleys of my neighborhood in search of open garages.

My search was focused on empty pop bottles that were like cash.
A nickel for the smalls and a quarter for the large!

With my ill-gotten refunds, I would invite my cousin to the movies on a Saturday afternoon.
Admission for us both=$1.50.
Popcorn for us both=$0.75.
Cokes for both of us=$0.80.
Pea shooters
Disguised as giant 'Pixie Stix' from the "John's Novelty" store next door to the theater=PRICELESS!

Ah,

"Do you remember ....."

Best,

Scott

PS.
Did I mention that Cousin was a girl?
Such a "Tomboy...."
Haven't seen or talked to her in 30+ years....

Well, my Friends,

I've caught up on my academics this weekend and will now taste the sweet nougat of a large "Three Musketeers" bar.

Now, as I savor this small academic Victory, I push on!

The time for advance is now!

Time to better myself and my recent test scores.
Time to finish my Goals!
(Still gonna look into "Habitat for Humanity.")

Now,

To provide the evening's study music,
For the next hour and a half,
I present....

Hope All have a Great Week!

Make it "Your Week!"

Always,

Scott

Umm...
Can anyone say,"Bootleg tape?"

LOL @ Scott! Thanks bro! Ya know, I do with a glad heart, until my kindness gets taken for stupidity.
Some folks can cause a major fall in the ole care meter, that would be for shame on both parties.
Good thing we have correction for error, failures, and trials.
Looking at it basically from the observer/experiencer type mind, it is of no thing. Just experiences.

I do my best to take responsibilities for my failures and/or errors in judgment, the same way, I own my successes, as well.
Kinda like, "How I treat you, that's my karma. How you treat me, well...... that's your karma".
It is of no consequence.......

oh yeah, and I didn't do a lot of the concerts, just hung out in Valdosta at the house, when was that, :icon_scratch:
maybe 70's? :laughing7:

Pat,
My Dear Friend,
It appears that we may have "crossed in the same ship."
Or, perhaps "cut from the same piece of cloth...."

In any event, I will always be grateful to be your Friend.

Say,
Didn't you say that you like "Cheap Trick?"

Best,

Scott

PS. If not, well...

Luv Ya, Pat!

I have seen hair on Etsy, of all places. That stuff ain't cheap! LOL!
There's something about "Remy" hair? :dontknow: Maybe worth checking out?
Don't forget "Locks of Love" if all else fails. Somehow, I see that as up your ally.

That is a killer Cheap Trick song. I did catch REO down here at our old Sportatorium.
It's a high dollar gated housing development now. :BangHead:

One last post,
concerning other's posts about fishing and such...

I prefer not to personally kill any living entity.

However, if I'm hungry....

I should prefer to fish, hunt and trap.
I am beyond proficient in this area.

The key is to only take what you are allowed by _____,
and to survive and move forward.
Fish are fair game; as are all sustenance obtained through the knowledge of planting.

A brave new world awaits the future generations, and my sadness is that I will not be present....

WAIT!
Scott,

Halitosis is a concern of personal hygiene.

There is no concern to my hygiene.

Halitosis has been long suspected to the diet of carnivore.
And Omnivores.
And herbivores.

Your argument is invalid.

Scott

Mike,

Here's my take on it for what it's worth...most of the folks on the thread come here to kick back and enjoy each others company.

Nothing posted here's is meant in a malicious way.....just a matter of how people take things....I've got skin like an alligator 35 years in Railway marketing will do that to you.....lol.

So I take the approach that it's in jest.....heck I've had Crispin take some pretty good zingers at me and vice versa.....but we're still buddies.

Hey this seems like the perfect place to ask, aside from being able to sell stuff, what are the benefits of being a charter member ? I mean I was just looking at the upgrade page, and some of the things it lists as benefits we already get, such as the ability to search, and already can customize my profile. It also says being charter increases PMs allowed from 200 to 1000, but as of right now it says I am allowed 600 what gives is that page totally outdated or ?
Figured I'd ask y'all since it seems most of the critters are charter members, that and I asked this same thing months ago in the help section and nobody replied lol..live chat sounds interesting though, is that like a chat room that folks join or is it a one on one type.
If anybody would be so kind to reply that would be nice.

Mike,

Not really sure what the added benefits are to tell you the truth.....Scott had a blitz awhile back and various members tossed money in the pot so a lot of us are now shown as charter members.

Maybe someone more in tune can fill you in.....whatever the benefits I haven't taken advantage of them.
