Yeah float is good but I had to be a miracle worker to get it out as someone had staked the float pin to the carb body! And they also had stripped several screw heads and assembled it incorrectly!

I've only laid about 10 square feet of vct in my life but have done lots of stone and porcelain tile. I wish you had been here when I roughed in my drains and vents! I hated every minute of that!

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!

I once was doing a full basement finish with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a living area.

For the bathroom, I had to install a "lift system."
That means cutting through the cement foundation floor and dig to install the traps.

After about 10 minutes with the cement saw, I set off the smoke detectors!

Within 3 minutes, 2 fire trucks and a cop was on scene....Sheesh. :tongue3:

I got a coupla photos of that job around here somewhere....:icon_scratch:

Tip! Always keep your dust down by keeping it wet! 8-)

Best,

Scott

Thanks Scott, I just love this ultrasonic cleaner I picked up off eBay about a month ago. This thing works magic!

The best stories always have a part that mentions cops and fire trucks! I bet that bathroom came out sweet!

My Friends find me to be, "eccentric."
But they really don't know me...

I'm a stranger to even my own Family....

Holidays? Don't ask.....

I often find myself hungry....

For Knowledge or sustenance?

Perhaps both.....

Hope all are well,

Best,

Scott

Wow! You definitely had your work cut out for you on that basement project! I'm tired just looking at the pictures! Breaking up cement is certainly not easy. Tile job looks great too. To bad you weren't closer as I have endless projects to do!
Here are some pictures from this morning as I started sanding the drywall in that extra bedroom.

I paid I think $125 for it used off eBay. I works awesome but on crusty items I don't think it will do much. But it reaches deep into crevices and ports like carburetors and jewelry. Just don't do pennies and gold engagement rings at the same time as it transfers tarnish from pennies to gold nicely! I think you can guess how I learned that one! The wife still doesn't know about that![emoji47]

Damn I wish Scott, RC, Bill and Dram, OV shoot all my Critters buddies lived close by. I have so much work that needs to be done on my house, but that's just not my skill set......no market for any old soldiers with long range shooting skills and small team leadership skills or crisis management skills...... Speaking of brothers I am so sorry for the French. This ISIS is a disease worse than cancer! It's not a religion, it's a cult!

I agree this is just the tip of the iceberg...the world leaders are doing almost nothing to curb it either...ours included. We play footsies with Isis while they decapitate our guys. Apparently the woman we knew on the El Faro her mother lost a cousin in the Paris attacks. She lost a daughter and a cousin tragically and so close together. This truly is sad...
