Hmmm....

Here we are, talking about shark tooth necklaces, and human teeth....

Does anyone have a necklace of human teeth? Anyone?

Want one?

Yeah, I've got some of my teeth. Some I pulled myself, some a dentist pulled.

Nah.

Don't think there's much of a market for that kinda thing....:dontknow:

Best,

Scott

Added:
During the US Civil War, "Dentists" would flock to battle sites to pull teeth of corpses and then fashion and sell dentures using these soldiers' teeth.
No, Smart Alex, I wasn't there. I'm not THAT old!

Had sixteen of mine as a kid for such a purpose as stringing but they mysteriously disappeared.:icon_scratch:
The kid with a variety or pieces of any hide he could get his hands on hanging in his room may have aroused too much suspicion.

I don't think a human tooth necklace would work for me.

Now this would!

OK.

I'm weak for REO....

Saw them several times. MANY stories...
I have a couple of bootleg photos around here somewhere....

And tapes....

Enjoy, Friends!

Kevin playin' an Ovation? Perhaps a Martin? Help me out, here, Kids!
Gary on a Gibson! For Sure!

Wow!
Ever notice how $ome thing$ change?!

Like the guitars that are played, the outfits worn, the lighting and stage arrangements?

No?

Didn't think so.

Perhaps you should pay a bit more attention to the details. Of your life.

Then, you may reach a higher degree of the appreciation of life....
After all, what is there left to appreciate?

Yep! Go "Full screen" here, Kids!

Your Welcome!

Best,

Scott

Some words....

"Time For Me To Fly"

I've been around for you
I've been up and down for you
But I just can't get any relief
I've swallowed my pride for you
I've lived and lied for you
But you still make me feel like a thief
You got me stealin' your love away
'Cause you never give it
Peeling the years away
And we can't relive it
I make you laugh
And you make me cry
I believe it's time for me to fly

You said we'd work it out
You said that you had no doubt
That deep down we were really in love
Oh, but I'm tired of holding on
To a feeling I know is gone
I do believe that I've had enough

I've had enough of the falseness
Of a worn out relation
Enough of the jealousy
And the intoleration
I make you laugh
And you make me cry
I believe it's time for me to fly

[Refrain:]
Time for me to fly
Oh, I've got to set myself free
Time for me to fly
And that's just how it's got to be
I know it hurts to say goodbye
But it's time for me to fly

Oh, don't you know it's...
[Refrain]

It's time for me to fly
[Repeat to end]

Some more words?.....OK!

"Damn. I KNEW you'd ask....""Keep The Fire Burnin'"

Keep the fire burnin'
Let it keep us warm
The world will keep on turnin'
Let it turn you on
Let us not stop learnin'
We can help one another be strong
Let us never lose our yearnin'
To keep the fire burnin' all night long

You've been changing so much
I'm not sure your in touch with what's real
You just come and you go
Never letting me know how you feel
And I'm livin here in doubt
There's so much to talk about
I know that we can work it out

[Chorus]

We've been through this enough
It gets rough but there's nowhere to run
This is where we belong
We are strong, we can never give up
If we wanted to we could
But we've always understood
To keep lookin' for the good

A few more words....

Before I go upon my way....

Huh?

Oh, yeah...
I'm on the road again.....(to College. Ramen and such crap, Dig?)

We flew into town on Sunday, had to find a place by Monday
Tried Bridgeport and Westport, 'til we found a place that we thought would do
157 Riverside Avenue.
Saugatuck River's flowin', Mother nature's colors were showin'
So cold, so rainy, we couldn't help feelin' blue
Not enough time, too many things to do.

We met a young girl on Main street, wanted to just pass her by
She was homely, so lonely, She said, "Can I make love to you."
We shouted 157 Riverside Avenue.

It's over, Miss Lena, we're leaving. Such a pleasant stay, I must say.
So nice, so easy, we hate to say goodbye to you
At 157 Riverside Avenue.

Nah. I only cuss myself anymore. Like, "You ignorant, pre-neandrathal idiot!"
Then, I have to go back and apologize to myself later. Most times the apology is accepted. :tongue3:

There are many ways that we can restring your necklace.
If you want it longer, no problem. If you want to keep and use only the original components, I can center everything and use clamp beads on both sides to keep everything in place and from sliding around. Then from the clamp beads to the clasp would be bare, which is what extensions would look like. Only without the ugliness of the extensions.

Let's plan this right the first time and we will both be pleased!

Best Wishes,

Scott

You want rhythm or lead on this one?

Dang!

No book for tomorrow's "Lab" class! :BangHead:

It's still in the mails, I guess....

It's cool, though, 'cause I talked with the Professor after class Monday and explained. He said that I'd just have to take more notes until the book arrived.

OK. This I can do!

He is from India and very hard to understand.
Gonna take some coins from India that are a couple of hundred years old to see if he can help me to ID them.

------------

My locksmith Friend and I went today to the salvage yard where I thought I had landed a great deal on a Harley.

I told Greg, the owner, that I wasn't happy with him for that nasty little trick he played upon me...
Gettin' my hopes up and all.....:laughing7:

He said that he was going to get another Harley in on Thursday.....
Gonna have to see what that cat drags into the yard this time!

Again, "Pictures at 11:00."

Y'all be good!

Dude!

Don't "overthink" your creativity!

Play your best original.
Got it taped?
Good!

NOW work on what you think are improvements.

Most times when I've done this, the first cut is the best.....

"Written by Cat Stevens in 1967, covered by many, my favorite is Bryan Adams, but here's Rod...."

One more Tommy, doing a Mason Williams song....

(Yeah, I've done the ole "bend the neck" trick a time or two. Hint: NEVER do it on a non steel reinforced neck.
Just gotta trust me on this, K?)

My Best,

Scott

You may drive around the town
In a brand new shiny car
Your face in the wind and your haircut's in
And your friends think you're bizarre

You may find a cushy job and I hope that you go far
But if you really want to taste some cool success
You better learn to play guitar

Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah
Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah

You got your eyes on the cheerleader queen
You're walkin' her home from school
You know that she's only seventeen
But you know she's gonna make you a fool

You know you can't touch that stuff
Without money or a brand new car
Let me give you some good advice, young man
You better learn to play guitar

Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah
Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah

All women around the world want a phony rock star
Who plays guitar

You can pump your iron and shine your shoes
And wear your hair just right
You go down out on cruisin' street
'Cause you want to score tonight

[ra da ra da ra da da]
And you really want to show your scars
Forget all about that macho ****
And learn how to play guitar

Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Play guitar, play guitar
Play guitar, oh yeah

"Don't,
I say, don't worry. I'm still doin' it and clues are scattered ALL ABOUT!"

I notice one or two here have picked up upon my idiosyncrasities....
(another "made up word? Sheesh!)

I'll probably lay my treasure this year.....
I'll take photos of the contents before I do, if you wish.....

Best,

Scott

PS.

I've heard talk before of "Geocaching" on this thread, If I remember rightly....

How does that work?

Wind breaks are gettin torn out. Fields tilled into the next field. Irrigation fights.
Goin corporate. Still.

carecrow on a wooden cross Blackbird in the barn
Four hundred empty acres that used to be my farm
I grew up like my daddy did My grandpa cleared this land
When I was five I walked the fence while grandpa held my hand

Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
This land fed a nation This land made me proud
And Son I'm just sorry there's no legacy for you now
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow

The crops we grew last summer weren't enough to pay the loans
Couldn't buy the seed to plant this spring and the
Farmers Bank foreclosed
Called my old friend Schepman up to auction off the land
He said John it's just my job and I hope you understand
Hey calling it your job ol' hoss sure don't make it right
But if you want me to I'll say a prayer for your soul tonight
And grandma's on the front porch swing with a Bible in her hand
Sometimes I hear her singing "Take me to the Promised Land"
When you take away a man's dignity he can't
Work his fields and cows

There'll be blood on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
Blood on the scarecrow Blood on the plow

Well there's ninety-seven crosses planted in the courthouse yard
Ninety-seven families who lost ninety-seven farms
I think about my grandpa and my neighbors and my name
And some nights I feel like dyin' Like that scarecrow in the rain

Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
This land fed a nation This land made me proud
And Son I'm just sorry they're just memories for you now
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow

Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
This land fed a nation This land made me proud
And Son I'm just sorry they're just memories for you now
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow
