You will probably be ok as long as you aren't too close to each other. My daughter's Bounty Hunter set off my Eagle Spectrum, She had to keep at least 10' away.

You will find out soon enough how close you can get to each other. Usually no problem at all unless you go on competion hunts where many detectors are working a field. For those hunts it is best to have one where you can turn a knob to change the freq.
