Found this "crossed cannons" insignia today. I believe it's a hat pin. Trying to get information on it's age. Union and Confederate troops were in the area but no one is aware that they moved this far in off the main roads. Not even sure if it's Civil War based on the attachment loop on the back. Cannot seem to match it with anything I find on the internet. Any help would be appreciated.

That's why I'm confused. Can't seem to match it. There was a lot of French and Indian war activity in the area also. Do you think they could be foreign or even Revolutionary War?
