Crossed the creek today

Found a little spot along the creek where some grading had been done and popped out this half dollar. Everything else I dug was trash but it was a fun debris field to hunt anyway.

Nice One! Reminds me of my latest honey hole area. It was a picnic area that dated to the turn of the 19th century. Also next to a large stream. I think it was also a swimming area years ago. I basically detected only one side for years and never found much at all. Then one day I decided to wade across and bam lots of great finds most notable a 1890 Morgan. It sure pays sometimes to get your feet wet.
