So I crushed a few small pieces of ore down to powder and panned it out.

I have gold because I can see it, but I have a LOT more pyrite and I can't seem to pan them apart. I guess because the gold is so small.

Will a blue bowl be able to remove the pyrite, or at least most of the pyrite? I search Google using multiple different search strings but couldn't find an answer.

You need to classify the material down. Get some 30,50,70,100 mesh classifiers and then process your concentrates. It will make it much easier and your recovery rate will be much higher.

When you classify all down to the different sizes, the the specific gravity of gold and the lack of specific gravity for pyrite will make it much easier to separate. Just smashing it you will pieces of varying sizes....Best of luck
