I'm well more than positive that this has been posted somewhere before, but all my searches keep coming up as relating to water hunting.

My question is more about rain proof.

When I am using the WM10 kit with my headphones, and this jack is left unplugged does it create a hazard to the machine when I'm out and it's raining?

I have drawn a red line pointing to the spot on the battery pack that I'm referring to.

Again my apologies if it's been asked and answered, but I simply couldn't find it.

I would say that in a hard rain there is always a chance for water to get in there. You can simply remove it and use the existing plug that is with it to make the machine water proof.

With that said, you need to keep the WM10 module dry.

That's kind of what I figured the reply was going to be.

I'm also thinking about getting one of those wraps that go around the machine from the UK, so hopefully that will help too.

I saw a decent cell phone case that I think the wireless module will fit into, so I may stop by BestBuy and pick one up.

Thanks for your reply.

fwiw, I keep mine covered with a small piece of electrical tape. If its rainy, I just put my WM in a ziplock bag and invert it in its pouch. If its a driving rain, then the entire setup is in the truck or house.
Oh, and at the beach, I use GGA's and it isn't a problem.

Good info, thanks.

I will have to pick up a set of those GG's, I hear they are the bees knees of headphones.

As I read about it, the ones for the CTX aren't as good as other GGAs but they were the only option with a decent rep at the time I needed them.
