Hunted two sides of sq. block demo site Sunday. Worked from the curb to the sidewalk, on two sides of the block, scored 3 Wheats( 2-1939's and a 1940) and a Navy item, along with a hand full of clad. Third time here, so far 6 Wheats, an 1881 IH, and lots of clad, there has to be silver! 100_1572.JPG100_1573.JPG100_1574.JPG Sardine can from Norway, with all the pull tabs, and other goodies. HH

Nice hunt. :icon_thumright: Have you researched where the Navy pin might have come from?

Looks like the navy item is possibly a coller insignia? Nice digs!

I have not, but it is heavy, and has a post, with threads, as opposed to a pin and push cap

It is 2 inches tall and 1 inch wide, quite heavy. Post with threads not a pin, on back

nice pin and wheats i need to get out and do some door nockin my usual haunts are so tall with weeds its like walkin thru a jungle luckily the Mosquito's carry me above them :sadsmiley:

This is a City owned commercial property, in the heart of downtown, so it isn't bad, but. I know, also ticks are bad in our area. I am a morning person, so I have been hitting parks, and beaches at 6AM, and avoiding the woods, and tall weeds
