Curly's CRH activity log

Today is a new day. Post holiday I am feeling optimistic and strong. I lugged a box of coins to work in a man purse. I walk about 5 blocks from car to my office so it was quite a feat. I am fairly weak. Pale too.

Dumped a box of halves into the coin machine this morning at DumpBank#1. Found 30 cents in the reject bin. I also had a nice conversation with the manager about the possibility of buying the machine bags and she said it was against the Federal Reserve policy to sell them to customers. I laughed. She said she wished people would stop hunting the halves because it was breaking her machine. I laughed again. I told her I wished she would sell me the bags. She laughed. We have different dreams.

One 1968D, 2006D x3, 2010P.

Saw the dreaded red circle C mark a few times.

Swung by and picked up $200 of quarters in CWRs and $20 in dimes. All skunks. More halves tomorrow...

$1000 MWR - 1967 and nothing else. I'm visiting the LCS to fatten up my bankroll. I can't wait for my two boxes this afternoon. The new pickup bank is ordering me two boxes twice a week. I am upping my volume. Right now I do 10 boxes/wk plus all the CWRs at four other banks. I order nickel and quarter boxes when I'm bored or on tough stretches where I'm not finding silver. I should take my own advice and go swing the metal detector when the silver gets slow.

It really is. I only dump $500 at a bank and spread it out through different branches. I have a written schedule as to where I'm going to pickup and dump. I'm OCD with just about everything in my life so there has to be that structure.

So Friday I had one skunk box and the other gave up a '64 and '67x2, and a '68. I have two boxes today waiting.

Tuesday's two box pickup turned into a one box affair since Wells Fargo didn't get both. It was in an odd old cardboard box and I thought well well well this looks nice. The rolls were in the old brown and white wrappers. I busted a few open on way home and found nothing. I finished the box the second I came home and found not a single piece of silver. The box wound up being 90% 1998P's. FML I have some CRWs that I need to pickup today after I dump this box. I am trying to diversify my pickup locations so I might end up ordering half from a bank out in the country. We'll have to see who's delivering out there. Has anyone seen a privately owned vehicle making coin deliveries instead of a armored truck? With barcoded, lockable bags? I've never seen anything like that. I thought maybe it was a document courier but it was definitely coins...

Wednesday

Box #13 - Skunk
Box #14 - Skunk

Thursday

Box #15 - 1967
$1150 in CWRs - TBD. Quarters, nickels, dimes.

I found a 1963 quarter in the first roll but it's going to take me a while to work through it. They didn't have my second box. The VM said she lost track of how many she was supposed to be ordering. It was funny because there was another hunter in the line behind me. Poor guy didn't get anything.
