PENSACOLA- On Wednesday a Pensacola man discovered what appeared to be a civil war era cannon ball at a local salvage yard.
Authorities were alerted and a bomb sniffing dog from Hurlburt Field was called in.
They later removed it from the scene.
Friday, Hurlburt bomb experts confirm that it was not a cannonball, but was in fact a track and field shotput.
