I was going thru my metal detecting stuff I have in my garage and found a CZ3D control box with no ground control knob?
It's like brand new.
I also found the coil.
I will email Fisher and see if they can repair/install a new ground balance knob?
Looks like you need the whole switch, not just a knob. I'm not sure it's really worth fixing this day and age. If it were me, I'd sell it as parts and be done with it.

I think it would be worth fixing ?
My CZ5 & my Gold Bug 2 is still working and I still use them?

With you Equinox and Deus 2, my question would be.....Why? Are you really trying to find tiny gold nuggets with the GB2? The CZ5 isn't even in the same league as the modern detectors. Will it still find stuff? Sure, but, not the same degree of technology. Spending hundreds of dollars to resurrect an old Fisher, when you can buy a better machine for that same money, just doesn't make sense to me. Your money though, so, have fun!

It's quite simple, the CZ, is still the deepest detector I have ever used.
& the gold bug 2 I use for volleyball courts and playgrounds it works great there at 71 KHZ for small gold.

FYI: The Fisher CZ's were one of the first true multi-frequency detectors made, if not the first.
Minelab came out with the Explorer years later being their first multi-frequency detectors.

First Texas sent me an RMA# to send in the CZ3D.
I will keep y'all updated on it's status.

I also found this White's Egale detector I had in the garage.
It takes C batteries which I don't have charged the rechargeable battery but it worked long enough to power up the unit but only lasted about a minute.
