Got this today at the thrift store
Can anybody identify the Language and possibly translate?please?
Is this a Turkish coffepot? Dallah?
How old Could this be.???
It is dented on bottom.
It has some small punctures aswell.
is it something to preserve?
Could cleaning it a little with soap be alright.? Its especialy dirty on top.

Perhaps its lost the sparkle when the silver coating or other embelishments were removed.. I saw a large malmuk bowl sold by sothebys. And on said brass bowl all the prior silver embelishment had been removed.... Maybe it wasnt ever top quality. Still to have a real mamluk beduins personal dallah. Or an original 15c cairoware. Would be cool.

Sparkle was a descriptive word to try and explain how older quality pieces just shout out. More well definded incised work, not quite so rough looking.

Maybe its not showing well in the photos. But even with all the age and patina. It shooted out at me. I
Havent seen carving this intricate myself before. And compared to all the obviously newer peices i look at. The carvings are tinnier with more detail in the patterns and deeper.. Maybe its not the most precise though? Thats why maybe i dont think it was a special peice. But a very old market peice. Our the owners own personal carving work. For personal use?

Foun one muslim mosque in pei. Its a. Long shot but maybe i can find a translator localy. A website that i can send a photo would probably work better
But havent found one yet.
