I witnessed a very small stream, frozen over in yosemite years back.. Did the same thing

The only thing I've ever heard was the ice cracking on a frozen lake. My dad and grandfather drug me out there to pull some fish up through a little hole and freeze all day!lol I think they just wanted me to drag the shanty and carry their stuff!
