Giving him the benefit of the doubt though...

The Mid-West:
Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota

The Dakotas probably do & possibly the upper peninsula of Michigan

All our Lower MI gold is the old Glacial stuff, ground up and left in the streams across the state. You would have better luck with a bag of Quickrite sand...

As to the UP I have friends that have brought me back buckets of black sand with not a flake, but it has to be up there some where...:hello2:

lol Ya if i got out to the mine without my wife i get the wild creature at home! i agree... no snakes yet this year but i have happened to see some wild turkeys hanging around the mine,,, good maybe there eating the centipedes... lol Id like to see a tortise.. but at 9000 feet i think i'm out of luck. The daughter thinks we should get an Alligator (thanks Swamp people) to guard the mine... anyone in here from Louisiana?

im curious anyone is it likely alligator snapping turtles live in nj with the common snappers

Anything remotely snaked shaped freaks me out.The list includes snakes of course, centipedes, and okay sometimes worms.Oh yeah and particularly curvaceous sticks too.
