Hey everyone,
Last week I was able to secure permission to detect a field where there stood an enslaved African American family's home. The house was probably built in the late 1700s and probably started as nothing more than a hut. By 1850 It was more of a permanent structure and housed 7 individuals. The house was torn down around 1915. I managed to detect there 2 times and the following are from Day 1. The beautiful freemasons watch key, the dandy button, a Jacksonian era eagle button (not sure how it didn't make the vid) along with 22 other buttons, an 1834 half cent and some other odds and ends.
I decided to make a slideshow of the finds and a little bit of background history. Hope you enjoy! Yes I used classical music again:thumbsup:
