I'm on my own this weekend, carried on where we left off last Sunday. I did 5 hours today in gale force winds, it didn't help that I on a exposed hill. Warmish but the wind was enough to make your eyes water & snot stream from your nose, still enjoyed every minute & at least it didn't rain.

Lead conical gaming piece?? (although seems too modern)
Broken medieval fluer-de-lue belt decor
Lead bag seals

Buckles

WWI Army Service Corp capbadge
2 bits of roman pottery (but no coins today)

Victorian lead/pewter medallion

My best find of the day a complete & rare type of Tudor Button :)

I will get something good out of this field (stick to the system & it will pay off eventually), even if I have to cover the whole 100 acres.

I guess what I mean is a Roman Denarius or a rare hammered. These are all average finds, although I was pleased with the button :)

Crusader, it seems that no matter what you post, it amazes me. I like the historical finds and the fact you put the history behind the finds. Keep up the great work.

Great finds Crusader, the normal for you, LOL! High winds here as well, was hard to keep my balance today, did pull a silver puzzle ring, 4 rings together to make one ring. Forgot to ask my neighbor about the cross saying, there is tomorrow to do so. HH, Mike

Yeah know what you mean about the wind & that is one good reason to have a proper spade as it acts as a good stabilizer.

Good Luck today, I can't wait to get back outside.
