DD coil for the GTI 2500

Has anyone used the DD coil for the GTI 2500? How well does it work? I see that it does not work with the imaging on the GTI 2500 so does it emit different tones? Thanks.

There have been several post on this forum about the 2500 and the use of the DD coil in the last week or so. You do lose the imaging but everything else is the same. From what I read and air tests you seem to get more depth and good separation. Pinpointing seems to be a little more tricky but I'm just in the playing stage with that 2500 DD set up. You still get the bell tone for a coin and the lower sound for nickle and in bi mode the iron sound. All metal mode still works the same. I'm looking forward to using it in the field when the snow is gone.
