Have had a lot of rain here in Ohio recently, was muddy but not unbearable today so I went out to a site I discovered thru reading recently. I believe it’s a store but time will tell with more recoveries. So much moisture in the ground I had no depth or separation, everything found was pretty much surface finds.

Congrats on the large coppers and the silver.
Those coloured buttons are a bit different with raised area, never dug any like that before.

Too wet/too dry/too hot/cold, then they plant it, so we can't detect it.
Sure cuts the season down a whole lot it seems sometimes.

What a haul. Great looking coins. I’ve always loved the 2-cent coin.
I just got back from Southern Ohio a few days ago. Went up Hwy 77 to Marietta. Flooding everywhere from the river/s overflowing.
Congrats on those surface finds. Looking forward to seeing your next post from that site. 👍
