Charged up the Excal's battery pods to do a shakedown before the start of the season, good thing I did, turns out there's a intermittant open circuit on the battery plug lead... bastard!!!.
Dismantle plug revealing salt water corosion to cable on back of soldered pins...
How... closer inspection reveals cracked cable gland (threaded part) and wire partly corroded all the way back to main body @#$%?!!!.
Off to the dealer to ship detector interstate back to minelab for repairs, advised turnaround to be approx a week to ten days... no way!!!... yep two weeks at the most.... I guess we'll wait and see!
