You can detect in select Washington State parks with a permit. You can find out what parks by going to the Washington State Parks website. You can fill out the form for the permit online and download a copy or they will email you a copy. There is no fee as of 2022.

That form you just slip it the slot for where you put the pay envelope for camping.
there is a form within the web site you pick parks you want summit form they send you a copy carry it withe you and go to one of the parks you selected and detect with in the area that's approved no need to put anything in the slot.
