Detecting places in Apalachicola Fl

Hi,
I am going on vacation in Apalachicola Fl next summer and wonder if there are any good places to detect around there. Looks like there was some CW activity there but not much fighting.

I would appreciate going with someone or just getting some pointers. It is hard to detect, other than the beach, when you are not there long enough to get to even know where to go to ask.

I would maybe find a canoe rental ,and hit the fresh water rivers for sure. People have played on the river for a 1000 years,you could find anything lost from indians ,spanish , to new gold lost from the locals.Goodluck,relicdude

I see you are in florida,and the name is shallow water recovery Swr is right ,they have a bag limit on all fish sizes,and ring sizes ....
